All services have either a £49 (24 month agreement) or £149 (rolling monthly agreement) setup fee which includes your modem and wiring tune-up (Staffordshire only). Not all services are available in all locations. Where this is the case we will contact you to confirm how you wish to proceed.
7. Agree to our terms and conditions
The service We provide a service to connect you to the Internet. We also provide a phone line that allows you to make and receive calls from the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Getting started When you order our service we will try to get you up and running as soon as possible (unless you tell us otherwise). We will try our best but install dates cannot be guaranteed as we are dependent on third parties to make all connections. Inline with the terms of business that we have with our suppliers we cannot offer any compensation if they don’t turn up. However, if you are not in for an agreed appointment you will be charged £108 (inc VAT). We know this is unfair, but at present that is how our suppliers operate. We have made our disgust at this policy known to them. Connection charge You have two options: a one year contract has a £49 (inc VAT) setup fee, while a rolling one month contract has a £149 (inc VAT) setup fee. Minimum term If you select a one year contract the minimum term is 12 months. If you select a one month contract you can cancel at any time. Notice period If you want to cancel your service you must give us one months notice. You must send this notice by email to accounts@inetc.co.uk. If the minimum term has not expired you will be charged a disconnection fee of £149 (inc VAT). If we want to cancel your service we must give you one months notice in writing. Payment Payment must be made by direct debit. You agree to maintain an active direct debit instruction at all times. We will take payment from your account in accordance with the direct debit rules. This means that we will send you notice of any future payments several days before the payment is actually taken. Upon receiving such notice if you believe there is a mistake please contact us quickly. Non payment If you do not pay us we will make reasonable attempts to contact you about this. If we are unable to contact you or you do not make payment promptly we will disconnect your phone and broadband service without any further notice. You will have to pay any outstanding amount plus a reconnection fee of £149 (inc VAT) to be reconnected. Router We provide a router as part of the service. This remains our property, along with all cables and power adaptors, and must be returned if you cancel the service. The modem is managed by us. This allows us to monitor the quality of your line and help to get faults fixed faster. If you require access to the modem so that you can use the advanced features you will need to sign an additional disclaimer before we will give you the password. Guarantee The superfast service runs off the back of our business network. This provides service to many businesses that have very high service level agreements with us. This means that we need to fix network problems quickly or we have to pay compensation to our business customers. The superfast service is a domestic service and is provided as is and without warranty of any kind. If something goes wrong we will use our best efforts to fix it quickly but cannot be held liable for any consequential losses. If the service goes down you still have to pay us and are not entitled to claim any compensation. If you need a guarantee speak to us about our business grade services. Traffic management We do not operate any traffic management on our network. Content filtering We do not perform any content filtering. The Internet is great but also has a dark side. If you allow your children to access the Internet you agree to supervise this use properly. There are a range of products available that you can use to do content filtering if this is something you need. Talk to us for more information. Acceptable use You agree to use the service for lawful purposes only. You agree that we may terminate your connection without notice if we are made aware that you are doing something illegal. If we terminate your connection due to your unlawful use of the service, you will still need to pay the remainder of your contract term. You agree not to do anything that may impact the service of our other users. Telephone calls Our telephone call rates track a wholesale rate which allows us to be extremely competitive on cost. We update call prices daily to reflect changes in the wholesale rate. It is up to you to check the cost of calls via the call cost calculator tool on our website in order to be kept up to date with changes in call costs. We may bar access to some premium rate numbers to avoid unexpected high bills. If you need access to these numbers just ask. Technical support We are responsible for providing an Internet connection to your home and providing you with wired (RJ45) and wireless access to this service. You are responsible for managing your computers, devices and home network. If you raise a fault we will log into your modem to test your connection. Technical support is offered via email to support@inetc.co.uk. In exceptional circumstances i.e. no access to email you may phone us during office hours on 0800 2888 680 and request technical support. You must quote your service ID number in all correspondence. Changes to our terms We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions from time to time and if we do we will publish a copy on our website and let you know by email.
